Archaeology Adventures
August 3–7, 2026
Dig into the past!
Campers become archaeologists as they learn how objects can help us understand the people and places that came before us.
Through excavation simulations, artifact handling, mapping and documenting "dig sites," campers will investigate discoveries, create stories from the evidence and explore local Indigenous history and heritage through age-appropriate activities.
Wild Scientists
August 10–14, 2026
Experiment, investigate and explore.
Put curiosity to work through hands-on experiments inspired by the Bow Valley's natural world.
Campers will investigate rocks, water, weather, wildlife and habitats while collecting observations, keeping creative journals, playing outdoor games and discovering connections between science and local stories.
Mountain Adventures
August 24–28, 2026
Follow in the footsteps of Bow Valley's early mountaineers.
Explore how earlier travellers, settlers and mountaineers navigated, mapped and moved through the mountains.
Campers will practise map reading and navigation, learn about historic trail building, try age-appropriate outdoor survival skills including shelter-building and fire safety, and tackle team challenges inspired by early mountain explorers.
Creative journaling, mapping, games and outdoor adventures round out the week.
Storytellers & Performers
August 17–21, 2026
Bring stories to life.
History and imagination come together through theatre, storytelling and creative expression.
Campers will create scripts and stories, play theatre and role-playing games, explore puppetry and performance, use Museum objects for inspiration and take storytelling outdoors before sharing their creations with one another.
